Bio:

Michele Anne-Marie Dickson is a disabled, self-taught, multi-disciplinary artist and writer of fiction, poetry, nonfiction and flash fiction who resides in Tkoronto. She creates paintings on cold pressed watercolour paper, using water-based markers or acrylic markers. Michele also uses graphite, coloured pencils, pastels, pen & ink, watercolour, acrylic, monoprinting, collage, and photography in her work. Her childhood was marred by trauma and abuse, but she has overcome many obstacles to become the person that she is now. Michele takes care with her artwork, and most of her time spent creating a piece, she is \"in the zone,\" as she says. Michele identifies as crip, fat, Asexual, Spoonie, chronically ill, low vision, and partially deaf. Michele\'s art has dignity, a new viewpoint, and self-compassion.
